What social media sites do you use?
We mostly use Facebook and Twitter for sharing our love of Trance with the community. We do have an Instagram page, although rarely use it.
Do you have a list of all events that you attended as a clubber?
Yes. I've posted my list of events (2010-2018) via #FSOEBirmingham's Facebook instead of on TT4U.
You can find all events that I've attended in the past here:
> Events of 2010
> Events of 2012
> Events of 2013
> Events of 2014
> Events of 2015
> Events of 2016
> Events of 2017
> Events of 2018
> 2019 and future years won't be published via Facebook, as the company removed the 'Notes' feature.
In 2023, we will be documenting our past events into an image and linking it here, along with the events from 2020 (before the pandemic) 2021, 2022 and 2023.
What is coming up for TranceTunes4U & the future?
The show has been put on hold. Future mixes are under the UKTS Podcast. Links can be found in the 'Episodes' tab or the Homepage.
Do you blog your experiences when attending all these Trance events, not just in the UK, but abroad too?
I do, yes. We have some old ones on our 'Blogs' tab.
Nowadays, all our content is uploaded to FSOEBirmingham's Facebook page, and reviews accompany the photo albums. For a short overview, we would recommend visiting FSOEBirmingham on Instagram.
How is the show mixed?
Previously, the show was mixed using Windows Movie Maker XP. Throughout the years, it's been mixed with Virtual DJ software (EP 32+) and in the last year, it's been mixed using a Numark N4 controller (EP 70+).
Any shows we do now are recorded using a Pioneer XDJ-XZ controller.
What got me into Trance?
Simple answer: Above & Beyond via YouTube. I was browsing clubland videos, and came across a recommendation for Above & Beyond - Miracle. Listened to that and loved it, so clicked for more recommendations.
Then discovered they were performing in Birmingham (Godskitchen Nov 2010) and decided to go to that.
Discovered Armin van Buuren, Aly & Fila, and all the Trance acts I know today. You can watch my interview with Armin van Buuren in their 'Service for Dreamers' segment here: ASOT820 Service For Dreamers
