A new week has passed, and it's time to head south to the sea: Brighton.
Time for a special Aly & Fila Open to Close set.
As always, feel free to follow me on social media (@TranceTunes4U) and let me know what you think of the blogs.
11:05pm.
I arrive at the venue with DJ Sean Mathews and catch up with my friends who are waiting outside in the cold. The venue didn't open till about 11:20pm and fans were given purple FSOE wristbands.
Aly & Fila started with progressive trance, and continued this for almost 3 hours. A beautiful journey, full of deep grooves and rolling baselines that you hear in a weekly episode of FSOE radio.
The trance picked up about hour 3 and 'X' was played, which got everyone off their feet and stomping. The hardcore ravers never left the dancefloor.
Aly & Fila Team UK and UK Trance Society members were out in force too, supporting the brands and enjoying the music played.
New FSOE releases were played, as well as old favourites including 'Million Voices', 'Akemi' and 'Solis & Sean Truby - Coastal Route' which is out on the 11th Dec.
Fadi powered on, delivering tune after tune, showcasing what FSOE is all about, and making everyone happy.
04:00am.
Now the curfew in the venue says 4am, but as fans, we assumed this meant for the bar, not the actual night.
Unfortunately, the venue management and security wanted to close the night off at 4am, rather than the agreed time of 5am. The promoter is doing all he can to keep the event going till 5am, but from what I saw, the security were having none of it.
Fadi persuaded the staff to play one more track, which was 'Surrender' (w/ vocals by Sue McLaren), but half-way through, the decks automatically slowed and the sound drained out. Cue the boo's from the crowd.
Fadi came down to the crowd to take photo's, even with the badgering security shoving people outside.
I collected my belongings from the cloakroom, made my way outside, and caught up with Fadi and the FSOE team for a good hour afterwards.
Then I ended my night by returning to my hotel for a good night's sleep.
The next review will be of Majefa at Sound Control, followed by Gatecrasher at the end of the year for my first #WhiteParty.
